Enjoy an Autumn break along the Wild Atlantic Way with the Connemara Coast Hotel as your base. Connemara is always a beautiful place but there is a crispness to the views and smells of heathers and peat fires start to burn again after the long summer. With Galway Bay oysters back on the menu, creamy Guinness and warming Irish Coffees are recommended by our food and beverage team as you cosy up to one of our fires. Enjoy our newly refurbished bedrooms and upgrade to an ocean view and let us take care of you with great service and genuine Irish hospitality.
Things to do
If it's an active breakaway that you wish to enjoy, Connemara and Galway have so much to offer and at your own pace. If its casual hiking, walking, horse riding or water sports, there are some great options whilst if you are looking for more thrill seeking, the likes of Wildlands in Moycullen, a zip line park only 20 minutes from your hotel base is great fun. Medium to difficult hiking and climbing are also available in the heart of Connemara and scuba diving, surfing and open water swimming are all close by.
The Atlantic Restaurant is a wonderful eatery where Executive Chef Alan McCardle and his brigade of chefs offer up a wonderful selection of locally sourced ingredients peppered with readily available produce from around the world. The famous Teach Furbo Pub is a welcoming environment where locals frequent and the first language is Irish, freely spoken between staff and guests alike. The hotel's first name was Teach Furbo and it had a colourful past where live music and revelery were a weekly occurence with many of Ireland's great live acts playing in the then dance hall. Teach Furbo continues but in a smaller manner where the cead mile failte is practiced on a daily basis and great food, fine wines and craft beers are served up with lively conversation in a relaxed atmosphere.
